Roadtripping

Hey guys! How is your Saturday treating you so far?
Mine is going well.
Let me start by backtracking to yesterday. Right after work yesterday, I took off for Canton, MA. What’s in Canton you ask? CrossFit One is! Unfortunately, I’m not partaking in any CrossFit fun, but Manni is! Lucky guy.
Since I usually eat immediately after getting home, I was hungry shortly after leaving work. I was also craving a mocha.
A quick stop at Starbucks took care of my mocha craving.
Look at all that chocolate sauce at the bottom.
Willy, Manni’s brother, picked up turkey pesto sandwiches from Costo because he was already there.
This guy was legit!
The only things I would change are: less cheese, more tomatoes and onions, and avocado would be an awesome addition. The quality was great for the price and for it being a Costco food court sandwich. Not that there is anything wrong with Costco’s food court – I love their supreme pizza! ![]()
The drive wasn’t too bad, but I started getting tired/hungry around midnight, so another stop was made.
I forgot to take pictures, but it was McDonalds/Subway and the Subway was closed, so I got a mango-pineapple smoothie from McD’s.
The smoothie was very sweet. I expected it to be, but man, I couldn’t finish it because it was so sugary. Maybe it was also because it was late and I was tired, but it just wasn’t going down well. I probably drank half of it.
I also ate a Zbar that I brought from home in iced oatmeal cookie – the best flavor ever!
I arrived at my hotel last night around 3AM. Per Suzy’s suggestion, I called to make reservations and let them know I would be arriving at around 2am so that they wouldn’t think I was a no show. Check in was very quick and I was in bed in no time.
Today
This morning, I woke up at 7am and couldn’t go back to sleep because the sun was so bright. I had a bit of a headache which is probably from lack of sleep, but decided to get up anyway. After dropping Manni off at CrossFit One, I went back to the hotel and got a work out in.
Next up, breakfast buffet.
I got a omlette, fruit, more eggs, bacon, and sausage on one plate. Then because I’m a glutton, I also got a waffle with maple syrup. ![]()
It was a lot of food, but I like sampling everything when there’s a buffet. Even if I think I’ll regret it later or I start getting full, I still try to have a bite of everything so that I know what to concentrate on the next day. Is that just me? haha
The rest of the day is up in the air. Maybe some pool time, maybe a trip to Marylou’s (since I keep seeing/hearing about it in the blog world!), maybe absolutely nothing! We’ll see where the day takes me.
Have a good one guys!
Your Turn: Have you ever been to Boston? Are there any must-see/must-do things? Are you working out today?
